What I Learned From Reviewing Five Companies

A reflection on the common customer journey patterns I noticed while reviewing five companies in the wall panel and interior surface industry.

Customer JourneyTrustWebsite Reviews

As part of my learning journey, I reviewed five companies in the wall panel and interior surface industry.

The goal was not to decide which company was best.

The goal was to understand how different companies approach websites, content, trust, and customer journeys.

One thing surprised me.

Most companies had good products.

Most companies looked professional.

Most companies had websites that functioned well.

Yet many shared the same challenge.

They focused heavily on products but less on decision-making.

What Visitors Often Need

Visitors often need help understanding:

  • Which solution is right for them
  • Why one option is better than another
  • What happens next

The strongest websites were not necessarily the ones with the most products.

They were the ones that reduced uncertainty.

The Lesson

This reinforced a lesson I am seeing repeatedly:

Good websites do not simply provide information.

They guide people toward confidence.

And confidence is often what leads to enquiries.
